Senoia's Business of the Month
We would like to congratulate the Downtown Senoia Business of the Month, Hollberg’s Furniture.
Hollberg’s has been a staple here in downtown since the early 1890’s. Frank Hollberg Sr. came to Senoia with the intent to start a jewelry business, but quickly realized the south side of Atlanta also needed a place to buy appliances, clothing, and furniture, and in 1894, Hollberg’s Department Store was founded.
They began exclusively selling furniture back in the 80’s, and now their showroom has grown to over 22K square feet, and occupies two floors on the corner of Main Street.
Amanda has been with Hollberg’s for over 33 years, and is now the proud owner. She remembers when the only things in town besides Hollberg’s were Harbor Pharmacy and Hutchinson Hardware.
She prides herself on Hollberg’s selling almost exclusively American Made Furniture. They even have a great mattress selection of mattresses made right here in Georgia.
Some of her favorites are the handmade kitchen tables, made with Pride by the Amish. One she is particularly fond of is the plank board table, and it is a beauty!
When you walk into the Main Street Showroom, be prepared to feel almost overwhelmed by all the beautiful choices. There are two levels of bedroom suites, dining room sets, and couches and recliners. Not to mention plenty of art to go along with your purchase. Not a decorator? No worries! They can help you pick out what will work best in your space, and their choices are never-ending. There is something for everyone.
Be sure to check out the original cash register from 1894, its located in the elevator of the building. Yes, there is an elevator , but no you cant use it to tour the second floor. There are some really cool old photos of the original store, as well as the Hollberg’s themselves. It’s a throwback to what Senoia used to look like.

Hollberg’s is open Monday through Friday 9:30am-6pm, and Saturday 9:30-5pm.
